Electo-Fishing
The ultimate goal in proper lake management is to have a balanced ratio between bait fish (bluegill, shad, redear, shiners, tilapia, etc.) and predator fish (bass, crappie, catfish, etc.). Prototypically, your pond should contain between three and six pounds of bait fish for each pound of bass. You also need to have a varying size range for each species. For example, a six pound bass must forage on a larger size bait fish then a two pound bass does to remain healthy. A missing size slot in both bait and predator fish will become evident in poor fishing and your bass will never reach their full growth potential.

The most efficient way to assess your fish population is electro-fishing.

Electro-fishing is the technique of utilizing an electrical current to momentarily stun fish or force them to involuntarily swim towards an electrical field for collection. This is the best method for non-lethal collection of fish species.

In addition to a population survey, we will do an alkalinity check, an aquatic weed assessment and an over all habitat evaluation to help you maximize your lakes potential.

Fish Stocking
Whether you have a new or renovated lake that needs an initial stocking, or an existing lake that needs a supplemental stocking of forage fish, our biologist will consult with you to come up with a stocking plan to meet your goals.

We supply the highest quality, genetically improved fish at the most competitive prices. (Click here to see the list of species available.) Our biologist will deliver your fish directly to your lake with the up most care and expertise.

Vegetation Control
Aquatic vegetation can ruin the aesthetics and fishing potential of your lake. Aquatic vegetation plays an important role in the ecosystem of the lake, but it can cause extreme problems. We can assist you in vegetation control through a number of methods depending on the species of vegetation or algae present in your lake. Call the Club office to discuss the various solutions.

Pond Design and Construction
We will plan, design, and construct a pond or lake to fit your specific needs. We will personally meet with you and get the layout in the field. Then we take this information and plot the design using computer graphics. We use state of the art GIS and GPS mapping to figure all aspects of watershed and runoff. We can also redesign any existing pond or lake. Maybe you would like a dock, pier, or bulkhead. We can handle all of this for you. We design wetland and waterfowl habitat as well.
